Chef Lance founded his company and his farm to table food philosophy using local and organic sustainable food products.
Chef Lance Roll has been professionally cooking for 25 years. His career started in 1988 when he joined the team with Chef Mark Strausman at Sapore Di Mare in New York. He spent 2.5 years there learning classical European cooking principals and Tuscan Cuisine. His next venture was moving to California in 1990 where he worked for 2 years under Chef Martin Woeslie at Mille Fleurs in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Here he learned the fine art of French Cooking. In 1993 he took his first Executive Chef title at Jerry’s Red Horse Market A gourmet shop in East Hampton, New York with a produce market offsite catering, butchering shop gourmet deli and charcuterie counter.
Upon returning to California in 1994, Chef Lance owned and operated “Rolls Choice Personal Chef Service” and then became the Executive Chef at Calvery Chapel Conference Center in Murrieta Hot Springs.aance117smaller
Chef Lance became an ACF Certified Executive Chef (CEC) in 2005 at The American Culinary Federation. He was also a Professional Chef Instructor at San Diego Culinary Institute (SDCI) during 2003 to 2007, where he was dubbed “The Flavor Chef”. His cooking was transformed upon meeting Paul Check in 2006 and being introduced to The Weston A Price Foundation.
Currently Chef Lance Roll is the sole owner and President of The Flavor Chef Inc. The Flavor Chef ® was founded in 2007. Chef Lance founded his company and his farm to table food philosophy using local and organic sustainable food products. Although the company was originally created under the name “The Aloha Bruddahs”, in 2008 the name officially changed to “The Flavor Chef ®” (TFC) and has continued to use the same principals, philosophy and ethics of cooking. In January of 2014, Chef Lance incorporated the business now known as The Flavor Chef Inc.
With Chef Lance’s intuitive abilities together with his diverse culinary career he creates healthy imaginative cuisine. By using organic ingredients, locally grown organic produce, free range humanely raised meats and poultry, and his incredible Genuine Organic Chicken Broth, The Flavor Chef is able to bring extremely well balanced nutrient dense food to your table.
